Voting Question: DSL interrupts frequently?

My internet line just recently got upgraded to AT&T DSL service, and since then my laptop, girlfriends computer, and her uncle's computer have had problems staying on the internet for any longer than 15 consecutive minutes.. On the modem for my girlfriends computer, I know for a fact that it is outdated and needs to be upgraded in order to run with the upgraded line, however on her uncle's brand new computer and brand new modem (2Wire), it suffers the same problem.. Problem: The DSL light, and NOT THE MODEM itself, restarts frequently, sometimes every 15 minutes, sometimes every 2 minutes.. that is to say, the DSL light, turns from green to red, and has to reconnect, before it, the Internet light, and Activity light reconnect aswell. THEN ill get online, until it repeats the process again.. Any suggestions to repair it here at home? I figure it is not the brand new modem but the new line itself. we arent using any telephones off the 2 lines.. the only lines on this telephone number are connected THROUGH filters into our modems.. but we dont run any phone lines...
